Steppe Eagle Art Print - White

The steppe eagle is a powerful bird of prey, easily recognised by its broad wings and strong, hooked beak. With a wingspan reaching over 7 feet, these impressive hunters soar across vast open landscapes, from the grasslands of Central Asia to the deserts of the Middle East and Africa during migration. Their keen eyesight allows them to spot small mammals and carrion from great heights, making them vital members of their ecosystems as both predators and scavengers.

Despite their resilience, steppe eagles are facing serious threats. Power lines pose a major danger, causing fatal collisions and electrocutions. Habitat loss from agricultural expansion and infrastructure development also puts pressure on their breeding and hunting grounds. As a result, the steppe eagle is now listed as Endangered.

Conservation initiatives, such as the work by the Raptors MoU under the Convention on Migratory Species, are helping to reduce risks. Efforts include retrofitting power lines to make them safer and protecting key nesting sites, giving steppe eagles a fighting chance to soar the skies for generations to come.

We are very environmentally conscious and aim to keep the carbon footprint of the business to an absolute minimum. All Wild Lines greetings cards and stationery products are as sustainable as possible. The cards, notebooks and advent colouring books are made of recycled paper.

Because of the quality necessary for art prints, they are not printed on recycled paper. The paper is, however, FSC certified as sustainably sourced. We hope the art prints will have long lives in their new homes before, one day (in the faraway future!), being recycled.

The art prints are packaged with recycled backboards in compostable sleeves. We post all products in hard-backed envelopes. From the tape to stuffing, all of the packaging is also fully recyclable (and recycled where possible).

The price includes eco-friendly packaging and free Second Class postage to UK addresses. There is an option to pay a little extra and upgrade to First Class postage at check out if you need your products sooner.

All orders will be shipped within three working days.

International orders will be posted with Royal Mail International Standard Delivery and the delivery cost will be calculated at check-out. Unfortunately there is no tracking option with this service.

Please note that if you live outside the UK, you might be required to pay taxes when the parcel arrives; these taxes are not included in the price.
