Smaller than its saltwater cousin, it grows up to about 10 feet long and is known for its broad snout and golden-brown scales. Unlike many other crocodiles, the Philippine crocodile tends to live in freshwater rivers, lakes, and marshes, playing a crucial role in maintaining the health of these ecosystems.
Despite their fearsome appearance, Philippine crocodiles are generally shy and avoid humans. They help control populations of fish and other aquatic animals, keeping freshwater ecosystems balanced and healthy.
Once widespread across the Philippines, the species has suffered a dramatic decline due to habitat destruction, hunting, and persecution. Misunderstood and often feared, these crocodiles have been pushed to the brink of extinction, with fewer than 150 individuals believed to survive in the wild today.
Conservation programs, led by organisations like the Mabuwaya Foundation, are working tirelessly to protect and restore Philippine crocodile populations. Through habitat protection, community education, and captive breeding programs, they are giving this critically endangered reptile a fighting chance to return to its rightful place in the wild.- A4 (21.0 x 29.7cm)

Because of the quality necessary for art prints, they are not printed on recycled paper. The paper is, however, FSC certified as sustainably sourced. We hope the art prints will have long lives in their new homes before, one day (in the faraway future!), being recycled.
The art prints are packaged with recycled backboards in compostable sleeves. We post all products in hard-backed envelopes. From the tape to stuffing, all of the packaging is also fully recyclable (and recycled where possible).
