Capybara art print

Capybaras, the largest rodents on Earth, are gentle, social creatures adored by wildlife enthusiasts and people local to their habitats alike. They are found in South America, where they live semi-aquatic lifestyles near rivers, lake and marshes. (Their eyes and ears are high on their heads so they can stay alert to predators while submerged!)

Capybaras aren’t at risk of extinction, but there are threats to their survival. Habitat loss and degradation are the primary pressures, but capybaras as also hunted for their meat, skins and fat in some regions (and targeted when they encroach on agricultural land).

Conservation organisations are working to restore the habitats capybaras call home, with community conservation initiatives underway to promote co-existence between the rodents and neighbouring human populations.

We are very environmentally conscious and aim to keep the carbon footprint of the business to an absolute minimum. All Wild Lines greetings cards and stationery products are as sustainable as possible. The cards, notebooks and advent colouring books are made of recycled paper.

Because of the quality necessary for art prints, they are not printed on recycled paper. The paper is, however, FSC certified as sustainably sourced. We hope the art prints will have long lives in their new homes before, one day (in the faraway future!), being recycled.

The art prints are packaged with recycled backboards in compostable sleeves. We post all products in hard-backed envelopes. From the tape to stuffing, all of the packaging is also fully recyclable (and recycled where possible).

The price includes eco-friendly packaging and free Second Class postage to UK addresses. There is an option to pay a little extra and upgrade to First Class postage at check out if you need your products sooner.

All orders will be shipped within three working days.

International orders will be posted with Royal Mail International Standard Delivery and the delivery cost will be calculated at check-out. Unfortunately there is no tracking option with this service.

Please note that if you live outside the UK, you might be required to pay taxes when the parcel arrives; these taxes are not included in the price.
