Their iconic trunks, which have more than 40,000 muscles, are essential for their survival, acting as a tool for breathing, smelling, drinking, and even for delicately picking leaves from tall branches. They’re also remarkable communicators, using low-frequency rumbles that can be detected miles away, allowing herds to keep in touch over vast distances.
Their large ears aren’t just for hearing – they help with thermoregulation. By flapping their ears, elephants can cool down as blood flows through the veins in these large, thin surfaces, releasing excess heat.
Sadly, African elephants are vulnerable due to poaching for their tusks and the loss of their natural habitats to agriculture and development. Conservation efforts, like those led by the African Elephant Conservation Fund, are working to combat poaching and secure protected areas, allowing elephants the space they need to roam, forage and thrive.

We are very environmentally conscious and aim to keep the carbon footprint of the business to an absolute minimum. All Wild Lines greetings cards and stationery products are as sustainable as possible. The cards, notebooks and advent colouring books are made of recycled paper.
Because of the quality necessary for art prints, they are not printed on recycled paper. The paper is, however, FSC certified as sustainably sourced. We hope the art prints will have long lives in their new homes before, one day (in the faraway future!), being recycled.
The art prints are packaged with recycled backboards in compostable sleeves. We post all products in hard-backed envelopes. From the tape to stuffing, all of the packaging is also fully recyclable (and recycled where possible).
The price includes eco-friendly packaging and free Second Class postage to UK addresses. There is an option to pay a little extra and upgrade to First Class postage at check out if you need your products sooner.
All orders will be shipped within three working days.
International orders will be posted with Royal Mail International Standard Delivery and the delivery cost will be calculated at check-out. Unfortunately there is no tracking option with this service.
Please note that if you live outside the UK, you might be required to pay taxes when the parcel arrives; these taxes are not included in the price.
