Cayman blue iguana
A high quality, signed A4 print of my Cayman blue iguana pen drawing, ready to be framed and hung in the perfect spot in your home.
For every Endangered print sold, a tree will be planted in the Albertine Rift forests of Uganda as part of a wildlife habitat restoration project in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute.
The biggest land animal on Grand Cayman, this iguana used to roam the island in the thousands. But - as the story usually goes - with human development, the population dropped painfully low - to less than 30 iguanas in 2001.
I’m pleased to say, though, that this is another positive story! With the establishment of an impressive on-island conservation programme, more than 1,000 captive-bred iguanas have now been released into the wild. The programme is ongoing with plans to expand the breeding facility and monitoring efforts, so the future is looking bright for these stunning creatures.
This listing is for the print only; it does not include a mount or frame.
Your print will be protected by a sheet of greyboard and packaged in compostable film.
